The Structure
In Borgo San Basilio we find the splendid Itaca appartment, a bright little villa just a few steps from the sea, completely immersed in the tranquillity of the nature of this tourist resort on the Ionian coast of Lucania.
Fully equipped with everything necessary to allow its guests to enjoy a completely relaxing and comfortable stay. The Itaca appartment is located on the first floor of one of the ‘towers’ that make up the suburb and, thanks to the large veranda that overlooks the swimming pool of Sobborgo Aranci, it also allows you to dine outdoors.
A splendid villa that allows you to choose whether to take a dip in the pool or in the sea, in fact it is only 800 metres from the latter and can therefore also be reached on foot or by bicycle, parking your car in the appartment's reserved car park. Thanks to Borgo San Basilio's services, all guests can also benefit from the free shuttle bus to the beaches, entertainment for young and old, and the tennis courts and five-a-side football pitches in the village.
In short ... a truly beautiful villa that also offers guests many ways to enjoy an unforgettable experience, thanks also to the entertainment that the Borgo San Basilio organisation organises for guests every year.
This is its composition:
a living room with a very large kitchenette
a well-equipped kitchen (4-burner cooker, oven, freezer, fridge, plates and cutlery) and also equipped with all the basic cooking utensils such as coffee, sugar, salt and oil
a double bedroom
two rooms with very comfortable single beds with the possibility of converting them into a double bed
a comfortable and spacious bathroom with shower and toilet
a spacious veranda with armchairs and a dining table for relaxing, right after a dip in the pool, and eating outside during summer days.

The Borgo San Basilio:
Consists of 9 suburbs and each suburb has its own independent facilities, i.e., central swimming pool, equipped with umbrellas sunbeds and lifeguard, condominium greenery, reserved parking, shuttle bus to the lidos, mini club card and private security guard.

What remains imprinted on this Borgo, more than anything else, is the large 2-hectare park with paths for strolling where stands the large Roman Amphitheater with about 2,500 seats in which to watch plays, musicals and concerts.

Following the Roman Amphitheater we find the Periptero, a special conformation of ancient Temples surrounded by columns, for the 'daily entertainment, dedicated to children and adults, also used for the various outdoor tournaments and games. So that the little guests can enjoy themselves safe from any danger inside the Park.

In addition, outside the Borgo, there is also a sports center with soccer fields and tennis courts as well as “La Rosa dei Venti,” a shopping center with stores, restaurants, pizzerias, bar-tables, ice cream parlor, and market.

In short, this splendid villa offers everything necessary for a truly relaxing stay and is ideal for the family, and in particular for the well-being of the little ones.

In fact, the coastline, consisting entirely of 8 kilometers of beaches with the finest sand and clear but shallow waters, has been awarded not only the prestigious “Blue Flag” award but also the “Green Flag.” Thus falling among the top 25 national beaches recommended by the odine of pediatric physicians.

Moving around the area:
Not far from this beautiful village lies the plain of Heraclea where Greek settlers settled in past centuries, whose ancient finds can be admired at the museums of Metaponto and Policoro .

In addition, just over half an hour's drive away it is possible to visit the famous Sassi of Matera European Capital of Culture 2019 and about 40 minutes away it is possible to admire the Lucanian Dolomites of the Pollino Park. So on one side the sea and on the other side the mountains as well as many places of culture and tradition.

Finally, there are many hilltop villages to visit each with something to discover, both culturally and gastronomically.
